“Calm voice. Crushing verdicts.”

Abdul R. Farukhi is a veteran courtroom litigator who brings more than 15 years of high-level trial, investigative, and appellate experience to every personal injury case. As a Senior Attorney at The Law Offices of Omar Khawaja, Abdul represents clients in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex liability cases—and when he gets involved, settlement offers often increase by 200% to 12,000%.

Why? Because Abdul builds cases the way only an experienced trial lawyer and former prosecutor can. He conducts deep investigations into the defendant’s negligence, uncovers the full impact of the injuries on the client’s life, and presents a compelling narrative that resonates with juries. His trial prep is grounded in real courtroom experience: he’s tried dozens of jury trials to verdict, knows how to lay a record for appeal, and structures each case from the start with a potential jury charge and verdict form in mind.

Before joining the plaintiff’s bar, Abdul served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney and as lead enforcement attorney in the Texas Attorney General’s Health Care Program Enforcement Division. In those roles, he led multi-agency teams, prosecuted complex health care fraud, and helped recover tens of millions of dollars for taxpayers through civil and criminal actions.

Abdul is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and licensed in both Texas and California. His background gives him an edge at every stage—whether investigating liability, structuring a mediation package, or standing up in front of a jury.

Clients and colleagues say he “kills them with kindness.” He’s direct, strategic, and relentless—but always ties the case to something bigger: doing the right thing. His philosophy is simple: “I speak respectfully—but I build leverage and use it. When the truth is on your side, you don’t apologize. You win.”

Abdul currently serves as President-Elect of the South Asian Bar Association of Houston, is a founder and board member of the Muslim Bar Association of Houston, and previously served on the Texas Young Lawyers Association board. He earned his law degree from Baylor Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
