Born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Lorin obtained his undergraduate degree from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana while playing varsity basketball for four years. He earned his law degree from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Early in his career, Lorin served as prosecutor for the Harris County District Attorney’s office, bringing justice for countless victims of crime and fighting against crime within the community. As for the meaning of the word “justice”, President Teddy Roosevelt was quoted to say that “justice consists of not being in neutral between right and wrong, but finding out the right and upholding it, wherever found, against the wrong.” Lorin applies that same principle each day as he fights for justice and the rights of victims and families of victims who have been harmed through the negligence of others.
His career experiences of working on both sides of the docket as a plaintiff’s attorney and as a defense attorney, has given Lorin invaluable insight on how to evaluate and develop cases from a liability and damage perspective in order to maximize recoveries for clients. He has first-chaired nearly 100 jury trials throughout his career and has represented thousands of personal injury victims recovering millions of dollars for those clients.
Lorin is licensed to practice in all state courts in Texas and Louisiana and is admitted to practice in the Texas federal courts including the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and playing golf.
